The SLS AMG pays homage to the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing produced in the 1950s. The gullwing doors and long hood recall the classic design of the 300SL. The heart of the SLS is a handcrafted 6.2-liter V8 engine, which produces a roaring 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. This powerful engine is coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The car is rear-wheel drive. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in approximately 3.5 seconds, and it has a top speed of around 197 mph. The chassis and suspension are finely tuned for excellent handling and control.
